Make
Ingredients
- little millet (dehulled) — 50 g
- sesame seed powder — 30 g
- peanuts (groundnuts) — 1 tsp
- urad dal — 1 tsp
- mustard seeds — 1 tsp
- cumin seeds — 1 tsp
- dried red chillies — 2

- lemon juice (from 1/2 lemon)
- salt — 1 tsp
- oil (for tempering; not quantified in the source)
- water (as required to cook the millet)
Method
- Cook the little millet so the grains stay separate rather than mushy, and let it cool completely.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds, peanuts, cumin, urad dal, red chillies and curry leaves.
- Turn off the heat, then stir in the sesame powder and salt.
- Add the cooled millet and mix gently; finish with the lemon juice.
- Serve with raita.
Tips
- General practice: if making the sesame powder at home, dry-roast the seeds lightly and cool before grinding.
